- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I had a package that didn't fit in the mailbox. Rather than leave it on my door step, which is about a 35 second walk from the mailbox, the delivery person took the time to write out a card that the parcel was too large for the box and I could pick it up at the post office. Lazy and inefficient. The next morning, I stopped by the post office around 6:45 AM (they open at 6:30) and tried to pick up my package. The desk wasn't staffed so I rang the buzzer repeatedly to try and catch someone's attention. No luck though - after a few minutes I had to leave to get to work. I was finally able to pick the package up the third day after work. At least the woman who found it for me was very pleasant. If this is the way the Eagle River post office always operates, I will probably just start having packages delivered to my office.By Stephanie Kuhns, March 30, 2017
