  I tried other places to adopt a dog. But there were too many people who wanted to adopt and I never got a dog. Until my wife saw the website of this place, there was an American Eskimo posted on their website. We adopted KURO and this was the best thing to our family. KURO was well checked, microchipped before we took him home. I am retired and KURO is with me all the time. KURO is a gift from God to me and my family. Thanks. If you want a dog, this is the place where you should go. But you have to act quickly to get one. We got KURO in a few hours after KURO was posted in their website. Jing from Anchorage.

  They are never around in the mornings to be able to put my dog to sleep. This is the third time I have tried this. This time though there was two people standing inside the building and of course they don't come over to see if they can help they just looked at me with stupid blank expression. Then when we had a stray cat problem they said we would be charged $75 for the cat trap WTH its not our cat we shouldn't have to pay that people are getting lazy and don't seem to care no more

  I just had to surrender my cats today & they were awesome. I had a hard time trying to explain why i needed to surrender them & they helped me anyway. they were extremely nice about the whole situation & didn't judge me for what i was doing. Plus, all the cats there looked happy so i felt like i was putting them in the right place.

  i was at university dog park, they scooped up my pup even though i was only a few hundred feet away. headache for me and my dog. maybe call the number on the tag before you impound the poor dog whose owner was in the vicinity calling for her! then, my dog couldnt be released until the next day even though it had only been minutes since she was captured!

  I adopted my dog Babydog from this shelter. It was the best thing I ever did. I have had great dogs and I've picked badly trained dogs, but when I decided to go to the shelter I knew I was walking out with a dog that was checked for any problems, and tested to see if they were a nipper or not. Some dogs they euthanize, are good souled animals but bite or get aggressive and you just can't have that. Even if they are sweet to humans! I stand by this place, my sister is a vet. And I believe they do a wonderful job putting out good dogs into the city and removing the ones who will breed and pass on the aggression.
