- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Horrible evil strongarm tactics that ought to be illegal. I had been sick. I was working as hard as I could to get back on my feet. I was vulnerable, and some of their employees should have been put behind bars for the way they treated me. If I ever find out that one of my medical providers uses this company I will immediately seek out another provider. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I have been a customer of Cornerstone for about 10 years now. I am a merchant. If I have a customer who does not pay me then Cornerstone will go to bat for me and collect the unpaid debt. I appreciate that. They also process credit cards for me and I have always experienced very good customer service. I can see that there would be mostly bad reviews seeing that people don't like to be sent to debt collections. As a debt collection service they are working for someone else...it's the business against the customer. If the customer has an issue and doesn't want to pay the bill they need to speak with the business (owner if possible) and discuss it with them BEFORE it gets sent to collections. I have customers who don't want to pay but if they don't call me to discuss their situation and ignore every bill I send then I don't have much of a choice but to send them to collections. I don't want to do it but what choice do I have? I'm sure there are times a business is wrong to send someone to collections, but if the business is small like mine, it can generally be worked out... especially if the customer is willing to be kind and not yell at me regarding their bill.By Anna Phelps, March 24, 2017
